Toshiba Starts the Delivery of Optical Relays for Industrial Control Equipment Certified by UL508

TOKYO-TOSHIBA Electronic Components and Storage Devices Co. ("TOSHIBA") The following eight types of optical relay products have been certified by U.S. security standard UL508: 4-pin SO6 package series "TLP172GM", "TLP176AM" and "TLP3122A" as well as DIP4 package series "TLP240A", "TLP240D", "TLP240G", "TLP240GA" and "TLP240J".
These certified optical relays are available on the market and can be used for industrial control equipment requiring UL508 certification, and for a range of global market equipment. The optical relay has also passed NRNT [1] certification.
UL508 standard includes a series of strict spare parts standards. Solid state relay (SSR) is one of these components, and the resin temperature within SSR is limited to 105 C (upper limit) [2]. The operating temperature of SSR should be within this upper limit. By using our UL certified products, companies can produce UL-compliant control equipment and maintain the heat dissipation design margin required by SSR.
